TransAtlantic TransMediterranean Portugal Tall Ships Olson House Flying Dutchman Boat Building Maine 2005

Geometry has two great treasures:
one the Theorem of Pythagoras;
the other, the division of a line into extreme and mean ratio.
The first we may compare to a measure of gold;
the second we may name a precious jewel.
--Johann Kepler (1571-1630)

"Waves are not measured in feet or inches, they are measured in increments of fear." -Buzz Trent..... "The cure for anything is saltwater - sweat, tears or the sea." -Isak Dinesen..... "A tourist remains an outsider throughout his visit, but a sailor is part of the local scene from the moment he arrives." -Ann Davison..... "Men in ships are always looking up, and men ashore generally looking down." -John Masefield.....
